Welcome to the Pittsburgh Science Workshop. We believe science enrichment should be free, joyful, meaningful, and easily accessible for everyone!

Our mission is to empower young people from underserved communities to grow academically, and expand their confidence, through hands-on science and creative ingenuity.

We believe that through experiments, tinkering, and building, children can develop a genuine interest in learning and a positive relationship with the world around them. You can learn more about the vital impact Community Science Workshops are providing in the lives of youth in this NPR article.

Pittsburgh Science Workshop’s free drop-in hours (starting in April) are Fridays 3:30-6:00pm at 1901 Brighton Rd (and in the green-space down the street at 854 Kirkbride).  Kids and teens can come onboard the Science Bus, have interesting new science experiments, and work on fun projects of their choice!  For age 7+ (or younger with support). Parents/caregivers welcome but not required. Come check it out!
